Wedding at The Great House in Sonning

Davina & Phill got married at the beginning of September 2021 at The Great House in Sonning. The Great House is an an award winning, intimate country wedding venue, tucked away in the picturesque village of Sonning. Located on The Thames, in the heart of the Berkshire countryside, The Great House offers a sweeping setting, with manicured lawns leading down to the river and provides a beautiful location for your perfect day.

The day itself was extremely relaxed, with the sun beaming all day, meaning guests were able to enjoy drinks on the patio and lawn. It was so nice to see so many of Davina & Phil's family and friends getting together to enjoy such a momentous occasion. Just walking around and photographing their candid moments, was such a joy filled with laughter and smiles.

After the ceremony, we moved onto the group shots before taking some time out together for our couples shots and managed to get Davina and Phil back just in time to sit down for their wedding breakfast. After the wedding breakfast, we decided to go out for some more couples shots. The riverside area at the back of The Great House was much quieter at this point, so we were able to get some gorgeous intimate moments between the couple, before heading back in to cut the cake and head straight into the first dance.

After the first dance, Davina and her father had a "Father & Daughter" dance, which was such a pleasure to photograph and you could see how proud Davina's father was. Once this was over, Davina's father went on to crack out some of the most amazing moves I've ever witnessed from the "Father of Bride"

The venue, couple and wedding were amazing. If you’re looking for a beautiful riverside wedding venue, then The Great House could just be the right venue for you. Check out some of Davina & Phil's wedding photos below and if you’d like to me photograph your wedding, get in touch, I’d love to hear from you!

Huge congratulations to these guys and wishing you all the best for a very bright future ahead.
