James is a fantastic wedding photographer. He was quick to respond to our initial enquiry and on our call he took the time to understand our vision, really listening to what we wanted to achieve. Having photographed at our venue before (Cantley House Hotel in Wokingham), he showed us examples of previous work and gave us recommendations on the best locations and contingency plans for rain. Leading up to the wedding, he provided questionnaires to confirm group photos and the schedule, which reassured us that everything was in order.

On the day, James was incredibly friendly and his positive presence helped calm our nerves. My partner and I aren't entirely confident in front of the camera, but James helped us relax and enjoy the moment by giving clear instructions for how to pose and making us laugh. The couple and group photos were taken quickly and efficiently, and for the rest of the day, he blended seamlessly into the background.

After the wedding, James promptly sent us a small batch of photos, which was lovely to receive. He then was very quick to deliver the full album which was ahead of his initial lead time. We received a great mix of posed photos, candid shots, and beautiful scenery/decor shots, mostly in colour with some in black-and-white. We were impressed with his technical ability, capturing a setting spray shot with the makeup artist and helping us achieve a sparkler shot even though it wasn't dark yet. He was also kind enough to change a black-and-white photo to colour upon our request. The online gallery was easy to navigate, download and order prints from. All of the photos were beautiful and really captured the joy we felt on the day. We couldn't have asked for better photos to remember our day with.
