Olivia and Mike got married at the wonderful Stanlake Park in Twyford. Stanlake Park history stretches back to 1166 when its lands were held by Patrick Earl of Salisbury and the original house was know as Hinton Pipard. The name Stanlake was first introduced when Nicolas Stanlake married into the Thorpe family, the estate owners in the 15th century. With a long and rich history the estate was eventually bought by the Leighton family who planted the first vineyard in 1979. To this day, Stanlake Park remains a privatley owned wine estate and has been expertly developed into the largest and best known winemaker in Berkshire and a fantastic wedding venue to boot.
The day started with bridal prep in the Bow Loft, which is the perfect space for the brial party to spend the morning getting ready for the day ahead. The Bow Loft is adjacent to the Coach House Ceremony Room, so once Olivia and her bridal party were ready, they didn't have far to go for the main event. The Bow Loft is an absolutely gorgeous, picture perfect location for pre ceremony photos and bridal portraits, with some beautiful light coming in from the lofts skylight above. I can only describe Olivia as cool, calm and collected on the morning and well organised from start to finish.
The ceremony itself was just gorgeous. From the moment Olivia walked down the aisle, she did not stop smiling. Mike was well composed throughout, but a few tears eventually came, when they both read out their own personalised vowels, which at points had guests in fits of giggles.
The all important confetti shot, couples portraits and group shots followed, before we entered the Vineyard Barn for the remainder of the day. Speeches were next and were well written indeed. Olivias dad even pulled out a small guitar to play his personalised song, only for him to see the absolute horror in Olivias face before stating.....He was only joking. A fantastic moment.
After the speeches, we rounded people up for a sparkler shot, before moving onto some night time couples portraits, followed by cake cutting and first dance.
It was an amazing wedding to start off my 2023 wedding season and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Olivia, Mike and their wonderful friends and family. The pictures we got on the day were truly stunning and I can highly recommend Stanlake Park as a quite simply sublime wedding venue.
