Hey, I’m James and If you’ve found your way to this page, chances are you’re planning one of the most exciting and meaningful days of your life. I know how much trust it takes to choose the person who will preserve those memories, and I feel incredibly lucky to call wedding photography my career. What started as a passion has become something I’m genuinely grateful to do every day, capturing the emotions, connections and unforgettable moments that make each wedding completely unique.
As a full-time professional Berkshire wedding photographer based in Bracknell, Berkshire, I specialise in creating relaxed, timeless wedding photography that allows couples to enjoy their day while knowing their memories are being captured with passion and care. Approach
Your wedding day is about celebrating with the people you love and I believe your photography experience should feel just as enjoyable.
My aim is to make you feel completely comfortable and confident. I know being photographed doesn't come naturally to everyone, and many couples tell me they were nervous about being in front of the camera. That's completely normal. My job is to make it easy.
I'll be there as a calm, friendly presence throughout your day, someone who can guide you when you need it, blend in when the important moments are happening, and help you feel relaxed enough to forget the camera is even there.
My photography combines documentary storytelling with an editorial approach to portraits. I love capturing the genuine moments that unfold naturally, the laughter, emotions, and connections that make your wedding unique, while also creating beautiful, timeless portraits you'll be proud to display, creating images that feel effortless rather than forced.

About James
I’m based in Bracknell, Berkshire, where I live with my amazing wife and our three wonderful children.
I feel incredibly lucky to have built a career doing something I’m genuinely passionate about. Being trusted to photograph a couple’s wedding day is a privilege I never take for granted, and I love that every wedding brings a new story, new people and new moments to capture. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing hundreds of weddings and working with so many incredible couples. One of the biggest compliments I receive is that I help people feel completely at ease and that by the end of the day, having a camera around feels natural rather than something they need to think about.
I enjoy connecting with different personalities, making people feel comfortable and creating a relaxed atmosphere where you can be yourselves. I believe the best photographs happen when you feel confident, present and free to enjoy every moment.
For me, wedding photography is about more than taking beautiful images, it’s about creating photographs that bring you straight back to the emotions and memories of one of the most important days of your life.

My journey as a wedding photographer has been truly remarkable, and I feel incredibly fortunate to spend my days doing something I genuinely love.
In January 2026, I was honoured with a Platinum Award at the Bridebook Wedding Awards, recognising the exceptionally high number of five-star reviews I received from couples whose weddings I photographed throughout 2025. Being acknowledged directly by the couples I work with makes this award particularly meaningful.
In 2025, I proudly joined Weddison, one of the world’s leading wedding photography platforms, where I began receiving multiple Weddison Awards each month for my work. Building on that success, I joined Prowed in 2026, a platform operating in a similar space, and have continued earning industry recognition, further demonstrating the consistency, creativity, and quality of my work alongside some of the industry's most respected photographers. As of 2026, I currently lead the UK leaderboard and remain on track to finish the year in the number one position as the UKs Top Wedding Photographer
In 2023, I was named Wedding Photographer of the Year at the Innovation and Excellence Awards, a highlight that reflected the continued development of my creative style.
In 2021, Lux Life presented me with the award for Most Trusted Wedding Photographer (Berkshire) at the Global Excellence Awards, recognising my commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for every couple I work with.
In 2020, I was shortlisted as a finalist for three major awards with Hitched, Lux Life and the European Enterprise Awards, and I was delighted to come away with two wins. Lux Life Magazine named me Most Creative Wedding Photographer (Home Counties) at the Global Wedding Awards, while the European Enterprise Awards recognised me as Best Wedding Photographer South East England.

James is a fantastic wedding photographer. He was quick to respond to our initial enquiry and on our call he took the time to understand our vision, really listening to what we wanted to achieve. Having photographed at our venue before (Cantley House Hotel in Wokingham), he showed us examples of previous work and gave us recommendations on the best locations and contingency plans for rain. Leading up to the wedding, he provided questionnaires to confirm group photos and the schedule, which reassured us that everything was in order.
On the day, James was incredibly friendly and his positive presence helped calm our nerves. My partner and I aren't entirely confident in front of the camera, but James helped us relax and enjoy the moment by giving clear instructions for how to pose and making us laugh. The couple and group photos were taken quickly and efficiently, and for the rest of the day, he blended seamlessly into the background.
After the wedding, James promptly sent us a small batch of photos, which was lovely to receive. He then was very quick to deliver the full album which was ahead of his initial lead time. We received a great mix of posed photos, candid shots, and beautiful scenery/decor shots, mostly in colour with some in black-and-white. We were impressed with his technical ability, capturing a setting spray shot with the makeup artist and helping us achieve a sparkler shot even though it wasn't dark yet. He was also kind enough to change a black-and-white photo to colour upon our request. The online gallery was easy to navigate, download and order prints from. All of the photos were beautiful and really captured the joy we felt on the day. We couldn't have asked for better photos to remember our day with.
